I got wind of this story via "Clark the Dog"--you know Clark, he's that dog featured on that bacon video that went viral awhile back. Well, he has a Facebook page and the following was posted on it today...
"About a week ago some people went up to hike up Mt. Bierstadt in CO and they took their dog( German Shepherd). The dog tore up it's feet and couldn't make the trip back down. Some people saw people trying to bring the dog down over a boulder field, not long after that the dog was seen alone...he had been left behind. The dog has badly damaged feet and isn't moving much. People have been up searching for him for most of the week"

Granted we are only hearing one side of the story...leaving our minds to wonder how anyone could leave their injured dog on the mountainside. I am not judging and hoping that the owners are not in need of rescue themselves..... all I know is that I could not and would NEVER leave my girlz alone and injured. You'd find me right next to them until help arrived. I am pretty certain my girlz would do the same!!
I will be interested in learning more about this story...until then, I'm going to hug on my girlz!!
