Practicing my wait...

Yesterday we received news that my Cousin Sheryl and hubby Larry are stuck in the snow at their cabin in Montana. Today (Tuesday) they were to arrive on island for a 10 day vacation. Old man winter had other plans, fortunately they were able to reschedule and will hopefully join us the end of the month.

So, I will be practicing my wait. Can't wait to explore the island with them. I do believe all things happen for a reason and maybe the reason is that our weather is going to go a bit "south" for about a week. Not anything cold or nasty, just southerly winds known as Kona winds, which bring hazy skies, humidity and muggy temps.  Completely different weather from the past week of  blue bird skies, crisp over night temps and warm sunny days. So I hope we'll get this "bad" weather out of the way so we have blue skies while they are here.

Enough of that....I spent part of the day paddling up the Hanalei River with friends I met while Monk Seal sitting a couple years ago, such fun to reconnect.

Also found our little ne'ne goslings. Still unable to get very close, but I think you can see one of little guys trying to spread his wings!!

Blessings,
Val

  5. I hope you and yours had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and are having a very HAPPY NEW YEAR. May we display your header on our new site directory? As it is now, the site title (linked back to its home page) is listed, and we think displaying the header will attract more attention. In any event, we hope you will come by and see what is going on at SiteHoundSniffs.com.

  6. Good they could reschedule. Missing out on the beginning of a vacation is bad, if you can't get back home...not so bad.
