Needed to clean the cars out saturday.
While backing the car closer to the electrical outlet,
a quick glance to my right and there they were---nose prints on the passenger side window.
I then proceeded to hit the outside water faucet. I cried for hours,
and not because of the faucet.

  1. so sorry Val.. i have no words to help, just know my heart hurts for your hurting heart

  2. I know that type of a moment - they bring back a rush of emotions. Right now, those moments are mostly sad ones. Then those moments will become a mixed up bag with both sad and happy times as you begin seeing in your mind's eye the happier times. And eventually those moments become more happy memories than sad ones. I'm still waiting for those moments that are all happy - I know that will happen someday.

We here in Blogville are all here for you - I am so sorry that you are going through this sad time. I can't even imagine the pain and emptiness you are feeling.

  3. I'm sorry, my moments would hit when I would be driving home from work and I would realize my boy wasn't going to be there when I arrived home. I would be a sobbing, sitting in traffic. The only thing that helped, just a little, was my other collies. It's just so hard to lose them, they take a piece of our hearts with them.

  4. Those little smears are proof of lots of love! It is such a heartbreak.

    Keep Calm & Bark On!

  5. One of the things I have learned about grief is that you never know when it will hit. Hugs.

  6. I think Mom would leave our nose prints on the windows in the house and car for a long time. So sorry for you.

  7. It is always those little reminders and the sudden shock of them that seem to hurt the most. (((HUGS)))
