Blood Moon...

Aloha, the following are my "Blood Moon" shots.
 The beginning
 about a  1/4
 almost full
so close.....and then the clouds came.
It was a beautiful night and I didn't have to get up at 2a.m. to watch!!

  1. How beautiful...and different! Glad you took pictures because I didn't get up in the middle of the night to see it. :(

This morning when I went outside to pee, the moon was sinking in the west and the sun was rising in the east..both at the same time!

  2. gorgeous and this is the only way i will ever see one unless they start doing this in the daytime

  3. Look at you! These are really great. Ddi you take these with the new point and shoot?

Must have been nice not to have to get up in the middle of the night to take the photos. I didn't have that luxury. Just another reason to move to Hawaii!

  4. Gorgeous since we only saw a white moon
    Lily & Edward

  5. Wow, those are great shots!

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

  6. Nicely done Val - my little iPhone couldn't capture it - but it was such an awesome sight! I had to drive five miles east of K'kai, but it did not disappoint!! The shading made it all the more 3-dimensional - it looked like a big marble in the star-studded sky. I was lucky to speak with Pat Jones on the phone & he pointed out Mars, Saturn & Hokulea - I won't forget it for a long, long time!

  7. I love your photos of the moon they are fantastic! I tried to get a few shots but we had to many clouds in the way. So all I got was a fuzzy blob. lol Thank you for showing me what I missed!

  8. Wow!!!!!!!!!! Those are spectacular!

  9. Real nice captures! Too bad the clouds showed up when they did...

  10. Nice shots Val. Love all your pictures!

  11. Your pictures are great! Were they taken with the new Nikon or the bug camera?

    1. ...that was supposed to say BIG camera! :)

  12. I got confused on my dates. :-( When it said Tuesday I was thinking Tuesday night into Wednesday. I'm a loser.
