Thanks for the good thoughts concerning mom's ear, she's feeling much better.
Almost every morning mom takes a walk along the coconut coast looking for our beloved Hawaiian Monk Seals. They are often on the beach or rocky areas near our home. A couple days ago as she was finishing her walk she spied this.....

Perhaps Ju is the lifeguard mascot... or simply attracted to the lifestyle. ;-)

Ha ha, only in Hawaii! A cat lifeguard, who would have known...
ReplyDeleteWhatta face!! I've got a feeling that no other cat has ever drowned while he's been on duty!! :-)
ReplyDeleteHe looks as happy as a kitty could be. he’s got a bird’s eye view of everything.
ReplyDeleteAdorable head, greeting from Belgium, love much the catfotos.
ReplyDeleteHe's a cute cat for sure. My wife and I visit Ju every year when we go to Kauai. The lifeguards say that Ju means "ten" because this cool cat always hangs out at tower 10. The last time we saw him he was battling some eye infections so hopefully he received some care. He doesn't need to know how to swim and doesn't need a lifejacket because he has miles of sandy beach right underneath him.
ReplyDeleteSad news. We just got back from Kauai. Our very first stop, on the way from the airport, was to see Ju. The lifeguard at tower 10 said that Ju had been killed by a car while crossing the busy highway just two weeks earlier. So sad. :(
