Trash and Treasures....

I continue to do beach clean up at one of the local beaches.
Think I have now "rescued" over 15 marine floats.
collected 20, five gallon buckets of misc. plastic
 1 green Army man.
Admired sand castles, or what was left of them
a wheel, a piece of astro turf, a float with ears and a cute purple bucket.
Took your suggestions for decorating my bucket....
 duct tape and stickers!!

and lastly, some beautiful sea glass that I hope will become jewelry.

  1. The sea glass is beautiful. Too bad there is so much trash. :(

  2. i love the new look of your beach bucket and wow, i have never seen sea glass...

  3. Good for you for doing clean up! The beaches we have visited here have been very clean and I am so happy about that. Maybe someday you'll find a great treasure as a reward for your work.

  4. Love the bucket! (and the glass)

  5. Great cleanup!! We love sea glass

  6. What a great service you are doing - and LOVE that sea glass!

  7. I LOVE the sea glass! And I can't help but think there is something really cool you could do with the marine floats. Not sure what. Something in a garden. Hmm...
You're really great to do clean up patrols like this!

  8. If we were there we would help you!

  9. I love the beach glass. I have a necklace made out of it. Can't wait to see what treasures you find next. While it is unfortunate that there is so much litter, it is a bit like a treasure hunt! Lee and Phod

  10. I've seen people make hanging basket/floats out of the plastic floats by boring several big holes in the upper half and filling them with soil. Seen some really amazing art done with beach glass too!

  11. Oh, I love sea glass! We are in Maui at the moment, and so far teh beaches we've been to are pristine!

  12. Clean up can really find some fun stuff. I'm sure lots of trash and junk too, though.

  13. Looks like you have been pretty busy! :)

Thanks for dropping by...I would love to hear what you think of our adventures, so please feel free to add a comment.
