Trash and Treasures....

I continue to do beach clean up at one of the local beaches.

Think I have now "rescued" over 15 marine floats.

collected 20, five gallon buckets of misc. plastic

 1 green Army man.

Admired sand castles, or what was left of them

a wheel, a piece of astro turf, a float with ears and a cute purple bucket.

Took your suggestions for decorating my bucket....

 duct tape and stickers!!

and lastly, some beautiful sea glass that I hope will become jewelry.

  3. Good for you for doing clean up! The beaches we have visited here have been very clean and I am so happy about that. Maybe someday you'll find a great treasure as a reward for your work.

  7. I LOVE the sea glass! And I can't help but think there is something really cool you could do with the marine floats. Not sure what. Something in a garden. Hmm...
You're really great to do clean up patrols like this!

  9. I love the beach glass. I have a necklace made out of it. Can't wait to see what treasures you find next. While it is unfortunate that there is so much litter, it is a bit like a treasure hunt! Lee and Phod

  10. I've seen people make hanging basket/floats out of the plastic floats by boring several big holes in the upper half and filling them with soil. Seen some really amazing art done with beach glass too!

  12. Clean up can really find some fun stuff. I'm sure lots of trash and junk too, though.
