Our Hike, Our Park...

Today we are joining all of Blogville for Hike in the Park Day!! Many thanks to GIZMO and FINN and Charley for hosting this special event. We are excited to share our amazing  park with you.

It doesn't take long to get to our park...mom or poppy just  open the back door and we're there!! Our park is open from sunrise to sunset, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It's all ours.....3 years ago when we moved here mom had 2 requests--#1 she wanted a swing. Poppy was kind and gave her 3 (located at various spots in the park so the peeps can rest)  #2 mom wanted a groomed walking trail for walking in the park--she got it. Approx. 2 miles of trails.

Let's get started...

We always have to stop and check out the woodpile for furry friends and
to make sure there's enough wood to heat park headquarters!!

What do we have here???

Schatzie trying out the tree balance beam.

Schatzie enjoys a dip in the creek

the park is really just starting to green up...you can see our
park ranger/grounds keeper has mowed the path.
Sometimes we like to walk on opposite sides of the creek :)

Park Headquarter and snack shop
There's even an archeological dig in the park
It's really a badger hole...we can smell him!!

One of 4 swimming ponds

Hey Mom, say CHEESE!!!
we have a trail cam to spy  monitor the wildlife in the park
Schatzie trying her paw at fishing---yes, there's fish in our ponds and 1000's of frogs

A breath of fresh air

Near park headquarters you will find another swing calling your name.
You can enjoy the beautiful flowers and birds while the park staff fixes your breakfast or dinner.

or you can just kick up your heels and let out a big WOOF!!

Hope you enjoyed your visit to our park. If you're ever in the area stop by and we'll give you a royal tour.

Remember at our park
collars and leashes are
optional!!

Gracie :)
P.s. Where's Sasha, I'm hungry!!

  2. If ever I am in your area I will most defiantly stop by!! Your very own park at your back door. Life is good. AND you have your own stick pile and fish in the pond. Well you are in heaven in my opinion. Sticks and fishing, it doesn't get much better than that. I love your park you lucky pups. Thanks for the tour.
    Blessings,
    Goose

  5. That is an incredible park! You're very lucky to have that outside your back door and to have such great groundskeepers too. We are looking forward to having the same type of thing when we move to the 40 acre homestead later this year. Happy trails!

  9. Wow! Are you guys from Germany??? Schatzie we haven't heard since we left Germany and a "nude" park (no collars) reminds us of the nude beaches. Sure looks like a fun place to race around in!

  20. 1st - I am so jealous! I wish we had our own park! Where we live everyone is really close together!

2nd - I love swings too. There is just something so peaceful about sitting in a swing and enjoying a warm summer breeze, watching the trees sway and the birds drift along on the wind...
